The picture above is a upper body portrait shot of Casey. He has his beanie on and is leaning towards the camera. Most of his face is covered in shadow. My photograph is similar to Platon's in the use of simplicity. However, it differs in distance from the subject, his subjects are lit from the front where mine is from the side, and his backgrounds have more color filled in than mine does. My subject also has more expression than most of Platon's do. The images are not identical, but you can tell that mine were inspired by Platon's.
This picture shows Casey facing away from the camera but looking at it. Hes wearing a beanie and has some of his face covered in shadow. The background is very simple with minimal color to distract from the subject. This is similar to Platon's photos in its use of simplicity and portrait style. However, most of Platon's subjects are more centered than this and the lighting is different, usually placed directly in front of the subject create soft butterfly shadows. My picture isn't a perfect impersonation of his, but its easy to see that he inspired it.
The picture is of Casey. Hes wearing a beanie and has a dark blue shirt on. Hes facing the camera but looking off to the left. You can see Platon's influence in the portrait style shot and very simple background with very little color. The simple background emphasizes the subject and forces all your attention onto Casey. You can tell this isnt one of Platon's own shots, but it is very similar and you can see the influence he had when the picture was being taken.
This picture shows Casey leaning back in a chair with his hands behind his head. He has his beanie on and his eyes are closed. Not much of his face is covered in shadow. You can see Platon's influence in the simplicity of the shot and the background. The background is suppose to be simple and focus all attention directed at the shot at Casey. The picture isn't a perfect replication of Platon's work, but his influence is clear.
